About Kris Vrcek
I’m Kris Vrcek. I’m a competent, dynamic, highly motivated professional who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I’m successful in building and maintaining relationships with our community and partners to ensure a pleasant and productive workplace. I am organized with a track record that demonstrates self motivation, creativity, and initiative to achieve both personal and corporate responsibility. I excel in representing everyone intelligently and professionally while maintaining patience, empathy & diplomacy.
My experience stems from real life as an entrepreneur starting at a young age in the hospitality industry through operating restaurants, hotels and catering businesses for 20 years. Dealing with various government agencies from local, municipal, provincial and federal levels has given me the ability to ask the tough questions and deal with intricate situations. Remaining calm in a high stress environment and maintaining day to day operations is a prerequisite for running a smooth organization.
Moving in a different direction in my second career in my life, I then transitioned to a full time licensed Real Estate Broker. I have dealt with residential, commercial and property management of multi unit buildings working in all avenues of the real estate industry. My prior experience with customer service, knowledge of my community and the education I received to become a licensed realtor have been an amazing opportunity. After working in the real estate industry I came to the conclusion that people need help with more than “finding” a home. I decided to get my Mortgage Agent license to serve my clients in the home buying experience. I am a Proud member of CREA, OREA, Niagara Real Estate Board, as well as a registered member of FSCO.
A large part of my life has been devoted to giving back to my community. I have been an active member of the Canadian Jaycees and assisted in projects such as: the Easter Egg Hunt in Jaycee Gardens on Ontario Street in St. Catharines and the Mayors Grape Stomp during the Grape and Wine Festival. After aging out of Jaycees, I transitioned to the Kiwanis Club of St. Catharines where I chaired the Public Relations and Technology committee advancing the social media and online presence. I have held responsibilities such as Chairing and co-chairing the infamous Duck Race and updating the fundraiser to a higher standard. I have also served on the Kiwanis Board of Director for over 10 years, assisting in funding many projects in our community from the Kiwanis Aquatic Centre to the restoration of Lock One of the second canal. Proud member of Kiwanis Club of St. Catharines since 2008. I’m also a member of the Croatian National Home in Niagara-On-The-Lake assisting in hall rentals, fundraising & operations, One of my proudest accomplishments has been licensing and organizing a local TEDx talk in St. Catharines (TEDxCity2.0 2012, Innovation 2013).
Continuing my pursuit of personal passions and expanding my knowledge, I’m proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Suites (InDesign, Photoshop Illustrator, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), Web Development (WordPress, User Interface, Mind Mapping, Wireframing), Divi Freelancer, Google G-Suites, Microsoft 365 Office Products Accounting Software Packages (Quickbooks & Simply Accounting), Google Adwords, Certified Facebook / Meta Marketer, Extensive Experience with other Social Media platforms (Tiktok, Twitter, Linkedin etc..). I also excel in digital photography, 360 degree photography and Drone Video/photography.
I believe that everyone we meet is put in our path for a purpose. There are no accidents; we’re all teachers, even to ourselves – if we’re willing to pay attention to the lessons we learn, trust our positive instincts and not be afraid to take risks or wait for some miracle to come knocking at our door. I believe that education isn’t something you can ever finish and experience is an event that is actually lived through which creates growth to life’s next level.
